Main Objective(s) The primary objective of this project is to enhance the knowledge and capacity of religious leaders regarding key international frameworks related to gender equality and women’s rights, including UN Security Council Resolution 1325 (UNSCR 1325), the Iraqi National Action Plan on UNSCR 1325 (INAP 1325), and the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW). Through a comprehensive 10-day training program, the project aims to empower 100 religious leaders with a deep understanding of these instruments, their significance, and their implications for promoting gender equality, preventing conflict, and fostering peace within their communities and beyond. By equipping religious leaders with this essential knowledge and fostering their commitment to advancing gender equality principles, the project seeks to catalyze positive social change and contribute to the realization of sustainable peace and justice.
